First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bank of Ireland.
Customer Service Representative
There were a lot of standard questions and you really need to have your answers prepared. They don't like it if you ramble or try to change the topic. I actually liked the interview and managed to answer everything well except for one question. I tripped up on one question and they didn't seem to let it slide.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded expectations to help a customer?
Customer Service Representative
The interview was about 40 mins long and I was asked a lot of questions by two women. They asked about my salary expectations, why I wanted to work for them, and about the bank's history and recent news. I thought the interview was pretty standard, but they did seem to pry a bit into personal life. They asked at least twenty questions, and I was relieved when it was over. Long story short, I didn't get the job in the end.
- What would your mother say your biggest weakness is?
Customer Service Representative
The interview process was pretty standard. They asked me about my understanding of current mortgage industry practices, the importance of fair customer treatment, and how my own skills and background align with the job's needs.
- Can you share an instance where you assisted a coworker proactively?
- What's your take on the current mortgage industry landscape?
- How do you approach fair customer treatment?
