The interview process included a phone screen, then another phone interview, and finally an in-person interview. It was a pretty fast and easy process overall. No super tough questions were asked, just standard interview stuff. Each person I spoke with got to ask questions.
It was a really fast-paced process. Since I've always been a full-time employee before, the salary discussion came up and I wasn't prepared for questions about my healthcare and self-employment taxes. I just threw out a number I thought sounded reasonable for full-time work, but honestly, I wish I'd asked for more because I'd have to cover all my own benefits.
I was reached out to on LinkedIn for a chat. First, I had a phone interview with the recruiter. Then, I went through 4 more interviews, some on the phone and some in person, with managers, team members, and Directors. It was a smooth and quick process, but the questions and managers were really tough and strict, probing into how things worked in my day-to-day job and what it would take for me to succeed.
