Candidate-reported interview process

First, I talked to a recruiter on the phone. Then, I had another call with a different recruiter and the hiring manager. After that, there was a group interview over Skype with the hiring manager and the VP. I also had a short phone chat with the government customer.

I talked with an agent who went over my qualifications. We looked at my portfolio. We chatted about the kinds of projects I'd like to do. They told me about the companies they represent, the type of people they look for, and which companies might be a good match for me. We also talked about salary.

I had a preliminary call with an agent where they asked me about my background and where I'm based. Then, I was given a design test to complete on my own using InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. The next day, I got my score, and they were moving forward with placing me. It was a pretty straightforward process, and it was good to see a way to measure skills in this field.
