My recruitment process included 5 interviews. First, I spoke with the TA Partner about my skills, experience, why I'm interested in APCO, and what I know about the company. They also told me more about the job. Then, I met with my Direct Manager to go over the role's duties and what I'd be doing, which seemed to match my past work. After that, I had an interview with the CTO where I introduced myself and we talked about fitting in with the company culture. The CTO also shared APCO's mission, vision, and what they do. Finally, I had two interviews with the Country Directors where we discussed their current challenges, what I could do to help, and what they're looking for in this role.
So I first had a phone call, then a video panel interview with two team members, and then I did an exercise that was relevant to the role. After that, they offered me the position.
I applied and then had a quick HR screener call, about 15-20 mins, covering basic availability and general screening questions. The next week, I interviewed with two Geo-commerce group members. They asked typical questions like what I'm listening to and how I get my news. I was supposed to get a writing assignment but never heard back for over two weeks. Eventually, I got a call with an offer, though a full-time associate mentioned the pay was very low ($53k) even after full-time transition.
