Technical Architect
The recruitment process is unnecessarily lengthy and lacks professional standards. During HR discussions, I was asked invasive personal questions regarding my family, in-laws, and siblings, which felt inappropriate for a professional setting. Furthermore, there is a significant lack of consistency; verbal promises made in initial calls were later retracted. The scheduling is also unreliable, with interviews consistently starting late and running over time (often doubling the scheduled duration). Overall, the lack of respect for a candidate's time reflects poorly on the company's culture.
- In the HR discussion, they inquired about my native place and my brother's and father's professions.
Full Stack Java Developer
The hiring process usually starts with a review of your resume. After that, there's a technical test, and then maybe one or more interviews. They're checking your technical skills, how you solve problems, your communication style, and if you'd be a good fit for the team. They decide on the final candidate based on how well you did overall and if you seem like the right person for the job.

Software Engineer Trainee
Applied through on-campus and the whole thing took about 4 months. First, there was an Online Assessment with 2 coding questions, around 70 questions total covering Algorithms, Data Structures, and CS Fundamentals. Then, a Group Discussion. After that, a Technical Interview where I had to pick between Java and Python, and they asked coding questions, sorting and searching algorithms, and stuff based on my resume. Finally, an HR Interview asking about family background and why I want to do Software Engineering. Just a heads-up, you could pass all rounds and still not get the job.
- Can you implement a searching algorithm in Python or Java?
- What is list comprehension in Python and how is it used?
- Could you explain the different phases involved in Data Science?
Python Developer
The interview process at Yash Technologies in Indore for a Python Developer role, which I joined through campus placements in December 2024, was quite surprising. There were four stages: an online assessment (OA), a group discussion (GD), a face-to-face technical interview, and a managerial round. I thought I did well in all the rounds, as did most of the 32 students who made it to the final managerial stage. However, after waiting 20 days for the results, only 5 students were selected. The really surprising part is that two of the selected candidates hadn't even passed the initial round, one failed the technical interview and wasn't advanced to the managerial round, and another didn't even show up for their interview. It seems like having a relative working at Yash might be more important than actually performing well in the interviews.
