First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Webflow.
Software Engineer
I spoke with a recruiter first. After that, I had a 45-minute chat with the hiring manager. They asked about my background and then threw in a small frontend system design question. From there, I moved to the final rounds. Since I applied for the FullStack role, I got a prompt to build a host tracker. This was followed by a frontend system design question and then a behavioral round.
- Can you describe your background?
- What's your approach to building a host tracker using frontend system design?
- Could you build a host tracker?
Webflow Technical Support Engineer
I went through two interviews for this position. The first one felt great and made me feel good about the job and the team. But, the second interview didn't go as well. The manager was kind of difficult to talk to, and the whole conversation felt like an argument. She did ask good questions about my tech and programming background, but honestly, she acted really unprofessional and it didn't seem like a good place to work. Stuff like this makes me think they could do better with how they manage people and train their interviewers.
- Regarding workplace diversity, what are your thoughts?
- Could you elaborate on the company's demographic composition?
Designer
I can't say enough good things about the candidate experience at Webflow. While I wasn't offered the role, it was an extremely positive, empathetic, and supportive experience. The recruiter I communicated with was so helpful, kind and supportive. They have a very equitable interview process where everyone gets the same set of questions. They move fast and don't leave you hanging- there is a lot of proactive communication and things move forward quickly. The folks I met with are incredibly kind and intelligent. One of the best candidate experiences I've had to date.
- Why are you interested in Webflow?
Product Manager
The recruiter was super nice. There was a small mix-up about how to get ready for the next part, but otherwise, the initial chat and info about what's next were good. My next interview right away felt off. The person interviewing me gave off a really weird vibe, and I got hit with a lot of questions about my past product and company. I didn't really get asked many PM or behavioral questions. By the end, it felt like I spent 45 minutes with someone just trying to get information about my last company, which was a bummer.
