First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Webflow.
Customer Support Associate
The whole process took about 3 weeks. It started with an assessment, then a phone call with a recruiter, followed by a Zoom meeting with the Hiring Manager, and finally a Zoom call with a Trainer. It was disappointing to go through all this and then not be selected, especially since it took so long to get a decision. It's frustrating to rearrange my schedule for interviews and then receive a generic rejection. I hope they'll be more considerate of people's time in the future, particularly for a customer service role, not a developer position. A decision should be possible much sooner. I did appreciate talking to the recruiter and one of the interviewers, though.
- Can you tell me about 3 skills you possess that would make you an excellent candidate for this position?
Customer Support Specialist
I was contacted by a hiring manager about a role at Webflow, even though I initially said no because I'm not a great web designer. They kept in touch and sent me resources to learn about Webflow, like their university videos, which helped me gain confidence. They flew me to San Francisco, which was my first time flying for an interview coming from hotels and call centers. Everyone was really welcoming. I had a dinner with the CEO, Vlad, which was a bit intimidating because it was fancy sushi and I don't eat sushi, but he made a joke and put me at ease. The rest of the day and week went well. I got to learn about the role and try it out with a lot of support from my trainer. I was offered a job shortly after and I'm still working there.
- What's your experience level with the Webflow Designer, both for using it and helping others with it?
Customer Support Specialist
Applied for the role 'Customer Support Specialist - Billing' very recently went through this process and could remember thinking 'This has to be the worst process ever' and actually remembered to leave a review when I saw the job being advertised again. Please note they have been advertising for this role since early summer and they told me they ideally want 3 people so this process should have been over a long time ago but interestingly enough they've had to yet again advertise the role. Firstly I sent across the initial application back in early August and did not hear back until a week or two into September. Following that they requested I complete a timed assessment asking questions about billing as well as answers to example customer messages. After sending that off it finally looked like it was moving a bit more quickly. After these two stages a zoom interview was requested to chat about the role my experience and further screening questions. At this point I had the sense to ask how many stages it would be to which I found out to be 8 for an entry level customer support role. The process is the initial application timed assessment recruiter interview colleague interview hiring manager interview shadowing 2/3 hour session and then a VP senior interview. Anyway I made it to the 5th round after which I did not hear back following the interview with the hiring manager. I was unsuccessful as I had assumed however I was not told this until I had to chase up an answer 3 weeks later to which I wasn't given any specific feedback so after requesting this was told they went with candidates with more SAAS experience which is completely fine. Question is however why is the process so long it took 3 months for me to reach the 5th stage so can imagine it would be 2022 before god forbid anyone reached the final stage. There does not seem to be any consideration for the candidate's time or efforts. Why can you not disclose the pay range until the offer stage and why on earth did I keep getting sent pdfs of the Webflow's mission/values and yet not one question on that? Just a bit silly. Anyway sorry for the long review but words can't even begin to describe how awful that whole process was.
