Cabin Crew
I have never managed to pass the online assessment, I have done this 4 times now. I choose all the answers that would go above and beyond for a customer whilst also keeping other customers in mind. I've taken a different approach each time and I never seem to get good scores. The video interview is also very difficult with only a couple of minutes to prepare, it is very rushed which I understand is to put you under pressure but they ask for many aspects of the question to be answered which doesn't help. I've also been previous cabin crew (short haul) so I have experience but can never pass Virgin's online assessment. I don't know where I'm going wrong.
- Can you tell us why you want to join Virgin and how your values align with ours, along with the experience you bring?
- Tell us about a bad customer experience and how you could have handled it better.
- What steps did you take to assist a customer during a difficult situation?
Cabin Crew
I had an online assessment with a bunch of different questions. It was mostly about choosing answers for work situations, like what I would or wouldn't do, and also some video questions where I had to record myself. It wasn't too hard, and I think you can answer it well if you just focus on why you want to work for Virgin Atlantic and why you enjoy customer service. I feel like showing how you fit with the company is more important than just showing you're smart.

Project Manager
It was a long interview process, spanning 7 weeks. There were quite a few deadlines for feedback that were missed. It involved multiple interviews, travel, and some significant exercises. The final interview felt a bit odd, rushed, and not very pleasant. In the end, I didn't get the job because of something on my CV (my 18-month freelancing period), which makes me wonder why the process was so long.
- Basic questions about project management were asked, but they felt too elementary for a senior role, as these are usually standard knowledge.
Strategy Manager
The recruitment process had a long lead time to organise. There were 3 rounds of interviews and the recruitment team shared very little information about the structure of interviews beforehand. The first round was about background and cultural fit. The second round was a detailed 2-hour case study. The third round was a cultural fit discussion with leadership.
- What is your background and why are you a cultural fit?
- Can you do this 2-hour case study with the provided information?
- Let's discuss your cultural fit with the leadership team.
