Analyst
The entire process was professional they asked me about analytics and data related questions, recent projects, techniques used, software implemented in, various model metrics/diagnostics and integration patterns adopted. Overall professional and kind.
- Could you describe an analytics project you worked on from start to finish?
- Walk me through an analytics project you completed end-to-end.
- Tell me about a specific analytics project you undertook and explain it fully.
Analyst
It was a good interview process with 3 rounds. First was a phone call with the hiring manager and a colleague. Then, a task-based round with the hiring manager. Finally, a call with senior stakeholders. It all happened within 1.5-2 weeks and I got an offer shortly after. They were quick to respond to emails and helpful.
- Questions about statistics
- Questions about SQL
- Questions about Excel using sample data
Performance Analyst
Four weeks after I applied, I got an interview confirmation. I chose a time slot and then was sent a "Small task" to complete, which involved describing 30,000 rows of data and suggesting improvements. I then attended a virtual interview (VHQ) and met with two people from the Operations Management team. They told me I'd hear back in about 10 days, but I got a rejection notice just 2 days later. The feedback was that they "Couldn't identify a complete match between skills and experience and the companies needs at this time". The job was posted again online the same day. I tried to get more feedback, especially since I did a long task, but I haven't heard back. I'd suggest making sure feedback is promised before you do any initial tasks. I was really disappointed with how this company, which supposedly "loves people" and sees them as their "secret sauce", handled this process.
- Can you show me an example of a report you made before, and tell me what it was for and how it was used?
- Looking at the data provided, what can you figure out about how we're doing operationally?
- Considering your background and the info given, what changes do you think we could make to the operation?
