First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vena Solutions.
Administrative
So, first I had a recruiter call with someone based in Canada, which was a good chat. Then, I met with the hiring manager and a potential teammate for the second round, and that also went well. The final round involved presenting a project I'd worked on, with the same folks from the second round plus someone from Culture. That interview got canceled last minute and rescheduled for the next week. It went fine, but a week later they told me they went with someone else.
- Were there many technical questions related to the job?
Software Development Engineer
They had a walk-in drive at the BPK Titanium office in Indore in March. The first round had basic Java questions and an elementary coding question. Management seemed bad. The second round was resume-based with some Java questions. They showed off their office. The company doesn't seem to have projects and their LinkedIn hiring posts might be fake as they only hire one or two people. The interview panel didn't know how to solve DSA questions and they only want Java candidates, even though they don't know SQL queries.
- Can you tell me about Java collections?
- What do you know about MAP in Java?
- Explain Java List.
Sales Manager
I really enjoyed my experience interviewing with Vena! Every team member I interacted with was genuine, forthcoming with information and seemed genuinely excited to be part of the company. The role & its expectations were described in great detail and I felt supported throughout the process - initial interview, meeting with VP & manager as well as the presentation.
- Can you describe your previous role, including your quotas and targets?
- Tell me about a deal you successfully closed.
- What were some obstacles you encountered during a sales deal?
Customer Success Manager
The interview process started with a 30-minute initial screening call with a recruiter from the Peoples Team at Vena, focusing on position alignment and cultural fit. The second interview, also 30 minutes, was with a current senior team member. This second interview was quite negative; the interviewer appeared very biased and disinterested from the start, making it feel like a waste of time. It seemed the interviewer wasn't genuinely engaged and was looking for a very specific type of candidate based on bias. The conversation felt very one-sided. While it was scheduled during lunch, which might explain some grumpiness, the lack of care was evident. It felt like the interviewer had already decided who they wanted.
- Can you share your background and experience?
- What information do you have about Vena?
- Describe your approach to managing your book of business.
