HR
I had an initial screening call with the recruiter that was about 30 minutes. Then, there was a one-hour interview with the hiring manager and an HR Advisor. The second interview had competency-based questions that were pretty tough, and I had to really think about my answers. I use a transcript because I have hearing difficulties, and they saw it on my computer. A few hours later, I was surprised to get feedback that they weren't moving forward with my application. Instead of giving me any actual feedback, they accused me of reading from a screen and said my answers seemed fake because of it. I guess I should be flattered that my answers sounded so good I must have been reading them, but it's a shame they assumed that instead of just asking me.

Sales Engineer
I sent in my application through the company's website and after about a week, they got back to me to set up a brief phone chat with the recruiter. The call itself was about 30 minutes and it was mainly about my past experience and when I could start. They were good with communication and timely, but I didn't get an invite for another round. Even though I didn't get to the next steps, the way they handled it was pretty straightforward.

Field Quality Manager
This was a Masterclass in Ghosting by the hiring team. After I sent five polite nudges, I finally got an update four months later. The position was filled long ago and they didn't even send a courtesy email. The hiring process was slow, disorganized, and they were really bad at communicating. It was like they were playing hide and seek instead of recruiting. Professionalism was nowhere to be found. The candidate experience was terrible. If silence was a skill, this team would be Olympic gold medalists. Ghosting isn't a strategy, it kills your reputation. Candidates deserve updates, not to have to dig around to see if a job is still open.
- Can you describe scenarios that highlight various competencies and how you would address the issue or task?
- How would you approach handling a situation that reflects competencies and a task?
Sales Program Manager
First I had a phone call with a recruiter. After that, I had a call with the hiring manager. To wrap things up, there was another interview with two colleagues. The call with the two future colleagues was kind of a confirmation interview. I think the hiring manager was already sold after the first interview.
- Can you elaborate on your sales experience?
- Walk me through your typical sales process.
- What are your key performance indicators (KPIs) in sales?
