First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vanderlande Industries.
Software Developer
So first I talked to the recruiter, they told me about the job and asked about my background. Then I had a technical interview with an architect, that was pretty tough with lots of technical questions. Lastly, I interviewed with a manager.
- What's your motivation for leaving your present job?
Software Engineer
We had three interview rounds. First, an HR phone call. Second, a one-on-one with a senior software engineer where I had to answer LC-style questions and explain my thought process. Third, a panel interview with the dev manager and a principal software engineer, which focused on technical questions.
- Could you explain your thought process for solving LeetCode-style problems, using the 'Add two numbers' linked list problem as an example?
- Describe your approach to solving LeetCode-style coding challenges.
- What technical questions did you encounter during the interview?
Programmer
I had two interviews, the first one was in Erfurt, and the second one was in Münster. First, I completed an online test, which I passed. Then, I had the first technical interview in Erfurt, and I passed that too, which led to the second interview. The second personal interview took place in Münster and also went well. However, at the very end, they asked me to work for a week unpaid as a probation period, after which they would decide. I found this unusual for a company to request.
- Technical questions were asked.
- Typical HR questions were asked.
