I went through one main interview round which was quite thorough, covering problem solving, basic Python, a medium DSA question (like LeetCode), an ML coding challenge, ML fundamentals, research-related stuff, and a deep technical chat. It went well, and I got selected the same day. They then asked for my documents like bank statements and payslips. During the salary talk, I mentioned I had a remote offer and since this job needed me to move to Bangalore, I asked them to consider the living cost difference. They asked why Bangalore and suggested I could pick a cheaper place, which felt a bit off, given relocation and cost issues are normal negotiation points. I then gave my expected salary and was told I'd hear back. After a week of no news and unanswered follow-ups, I finally got a hold of HR. They said my expected salary was too high and they weren't moving forward. The tech interview was good, but the post-offer communication and how they handled negotiations felt unprofessional and unclear. Better communication would have made a big difference.

The process had 3 rounds. Round 1 was about guesstimates and problem solving. Rounds 2 and 3 were mostly case studies with some background questions. I passed the first two rounds, but the HR was very slow to respond. They took about a month to get back after my third round and rejected me without a good reason, even though my third round was similar to the first two and I performed well. The HR ghosted me when I called her. It felt like a waste of time, and they probably just wanted my resume. Their organization skills were poor.

So I interviewed with Urban Company for a performance marketing role and honestly, it was one of the worst interview experiences I've had. The first round went great, I got awesome feedback and felt super prepared for the second round. But then, the interviewer was just so rude and confrontational, it totally threw me off. She kept cutting me off and saying stuff like, "Are you thinking that I’m the one who didn’t understand your answers?" and then would try to mess with me by saying, "You made this assumption, not me." Even when I tried to explain, she wouldn't let me finish. To top it off, the recruiters never even gave me any feedback or sent a rejection email, which was really unprofessional. It made me doubt myself a lot, even though I was confident after the first round. It was just a really frustrating and unprofessional process.

There were 3 online interviews and 1 in-person interview. They wanted to test problem solving, analytical skills, and motivation for the role. The first 3 rounds were with an AVP, Business Head, or VP. The final round was with the CBO, COO, or CEO. The experience was decent but could be tricky. They expect interviewees to have a holistic, open-minded problem solving mindset. Reading about recent/past developments related to the company would be helpful.
