So I had this really wild interview with a TA. She actually waited until we were on the video call to tell me the job I applied for was already filled. Then she asked if I'd consider a DIFFERENT role. When I said I needed some time to think, she gave me only the rest of the day to decide and then rushed off the call, which was super short, like under 10 mins total. I emailed her later to say thanks but that role wasn't for me and I'd withdraw, but she never wrote back.

It was a pretty straightforward process. They asked me about the projects I've listed on my resume. Then, the interviewer showed me some code and asked me to guess the output, which was super easy. The technical questions ended with an OOP question, like what you'd learn in freshman classes. The interviewer was really nice and told me about the company culture. I'd tell anyone interviewing here to just be familiar with what's on their resume, plus basic OOP and leetcode.

My interview process was a bit of a whirlwind. First, I had a department interview on 9/15. One interviewer seemed really into my project and asked a ton of resume questions, even though I felt I stumbled a bit. They did say my resume fit what they were looking for, which felt good. In the second department, no direct feedback, but one interviewer's comment about 'poaching' candidates made me think they were impressed with my learning and personality. HR let me know on 9/17, two days after the interviews, that I passed the first round. Weirdly, it seems like the second interview got skipped because HR had initially mentioned three rounds. The update said I was moving straight to the HR stage for the first department. On Thursday (9/17), I did the HR interview, which was pretty chill, mostly chatting about my resume and personal stuff. HR also thought I might be a good fit for the supervisor role in the first department. HR is off next Monday, so they said they'd call me back Wednesday to Friday (9/24–9/26) at the earliest.

The interview process included 4 stages. It began with a recruiter call, followed by a call with the hiring manager and the team. Then there was a design exercise, and a final call with the hiring manager and team. I really enjoyed the whole process, right from the first recruiter call. The team seemed genuinely interested in me as a person and my goals, not just my professional skills. The design exercise was optional, but I decided to do it. It was a straightforward exercise, not directly related to the company's work, but it was a good opportunity for me to show my high-level design thinking. I got really good feedback and felt welcomed by the team due to the hiring manager's kind explanation of the team culture, values, and work style. It was truly one of the best interview experiences I've had, and I got the job!
