Strategy & Operations
Started with an HR screening, then interviewed with the hiring manager. The manager seemed uninterested and didn't have a clear agenda for the interview. It was one of the worst experiences, and the startup culture seemed awful. I don't recommend anyone going through the screening; it was a total waste of time. There are much better companies to spend your time researching!
- Can you share your experience regarding strategy?
Sales Development Representative
The interview process was pretty long and very structured. First, I had a call with HR. Then, I chatted with a current SDR. After that, there was an interview where I had to do a cold-call exercise and answer more behavioral questions. Then, I had a pre-call with the Director of Revenue, and finally, a meeting with the Director of Revenue. The last step would have been with the CEO. Some of the early interviews felt chill and like normal chats, but as it went on, it felt more like a script and less like a real person. In my last interview, they asked me to tell them about a personal experience that really shook me. When I gave them an honest answer, they told me multiple times it wasn't good enough and that I needed to dig deeper. I tried changing my answer a bunch of times but it didn't help, so I eventually said I couldn't make up experiences I hadn't lived. They rejected me the next morning. Overall, it was organized but didn't feel very empathetic. If you're someone who likes being real and having genuine conversations, this might be tough.

Got started with a recruiter screening that ended up being rescheduled twice for reasons they didn't get into. When we finally did connect, they immediately made it clear they wanted someone who would dedicate their whole life to the job, trying to sell 12-hour days and being in the office 5 days a week as good things. I decided to go ahead with the tech screening, even though I had doubts, which also got rescheduled once. The actual interview was pretty standard, though the interviewer was in a loud place, like a cafe. They then invited me for an in-person interview, which I turned down because the whole process felt like I'd just show up and be told to come back another day.
- What aspect of Traba's mission resonates with you the most, and could you explain why?
Growth Operations
I went through several interview rounds for a role at Traba and reached the final stages. However, after weeks of no communication, I discovered the position was put on hold. This lack of information for five weeks made the process feel very disorganized. The recruiter then suggested another job, so I reapplied. During one of the interviews, I realized the recruiter had forgotten to send the case prep materials ahead of time, giving me very little prep time. While I know mistakes happen, better communication would have really smoothed things out. I didn't get the role in the end and didn't receive any specific feedback. I get that not everyone gets detailed responses, but more transparency would have been nice considering how much time I invested. For anyone applying in the future, I'd suggest asking for updates proactively and making sure you have all the needed materials before interviews. Hopefully, Traba can improve its candidate experience by being clearer and giving updates on time.
