After you apply and your resume is looked at by a recruiter, you might do an assessment like a tech test or a quiz. Then, HR will call you to chat about your background and why you want the job. Next up are some technical or functional interviews with the team or managers where they check your skills and how you solve problems. Finally, there might be a chat with senior people to see if you fit the company culture and are a good communicator. If all goes well, HR will give you an offer, and then you start onboarding.

Software Engineer
So first up, they screen your resume to see if you're a good fit. Then, you'll have a chat with HR or a recruiter to go over your experience, how much notice you need to give, and what you're looking to earn. If that goes well, you'll face some technical interviews. These can involve coding challenges, problem-solving exercises, or system/app design, depending on the specific job. After you've passed the technical parts, there's usually a manager or behavioral interview where they check out your communication, how you work with others, and how you'd deal with actual work problems. The last step is with HR again to sort out pay, when you can start, and any other paperwork before they make you an offer.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- What's your notice period?
- What are your salary expectations?
