The interview didn't have too many questions specifically on automation testing. It went pretty well, but I wasn't selected in the end. The questions were mostly about the BDD framework and Selenium with Java, covering OOPS concepts and arrays, including sorting them.

Confirmed questions8 questions

  • Could you describe OOPS concepts in Java?

Technical Coding

So after you apply, which you can do on job sites like LinkedIn or directly on the company's website, or if someone refers you, then the first step is usually an HR screening. They'll call you to chat about your background, see if your salary expectations and how soon you can join match, and tell you a bit about the company and the role. This call is pretty short, like 10 to 20 minutes. After that, it's into the technical rounds. There are usually one to three of these. The first technical interview might cover your past projects and ask you general technical questions, like specific testing concepts for QA or maybe some coding if it's a developer role. They might also give you a problem to solve or ask you to write some test cases. The second technical interview goes deeper, maybe with more advanced problem-solving, debugging, or talking about test strategy. For more senior roles, they might even discuss system design. Sometimes, there's also an assignment you have to do, like a coding challenge, or maybe writing a test plan or testing a feature within a certain time limit.
