It was an easy interview. They didn't ask a lot of questions. They wanted to know what I knew about the company and my thoughts on why they should hire me. We talked about my weaknesses and strengths, when I could start, and my salary expectations. They also asked me to describe a situation where I was under pressure.

So first, we'll go over intros, I'll tell you about the company, the role, and what we're looking for. Then, I'd love to hear about your background, your education, and any experience you have that fits the job. After that, we'll dive into some technical questions or maybe a quick assessment to check your skills, like problem-solving, coding, or how you do data analysis. We'll also chat about soft skills – like how you work with others, communicate, and handle changes, maybe some situation questions to see how you'd tackle real problems. Finally, we'll talk about why you're interested in this gig and give you a chance to ask me anything about the company, the team, or the project. We'll get back to you with feedback later.

This interview process started great with quick communication and smooth interviews but really fell apart at the end. It began with a standard HR screening, followed by a panel interview with three people which went very well. Then I had a second interview with a manager that also went great. The next step was a final interview with a director, but on the day of the interview, the director didn't show up. I understand things happen, especially since I took time off work. The director did email promptly to apologize and promised to reschedule. However, that never happened. The day after the missed interview, I received an email stating the position was filled. The director confirmed this when I followed up, again apologizing and saying she'd recommend me for other roles. I applied for a few positions and let her know, but I've heard nothing back for days. It's disappointing that such a promising experience ended so unprofessionally.

I applied online via LinkedIn, and a few days later, I got an email to do a video screen, but I didn't do it. About a week or two after that, a recruiter called me about scheduling an interview. I was really excited to learn that the interviewer was the person who previously held the role and was leaving because they got promoted. A few days later, I had the first interview, and I felt it went well. About a week after that, the same recruiter called me and said the interviewer had a lot of good things to say and wanted to invite me for a second interview. In the second interview, I spoke with the director of the branch and the HR VP. They were super friendly and made me feel comfortable. I asked about the next steps, and they mentioned that if I was chosen to move forward, I'd have a third interview. I figured the recruiter would contact me in about a week, like before, but a week passed with no call or email. Another week went by, and still nothing. So I decided to email them to find out what happened, but I never got a response. I really wish I'd at least gotten an automated email saying they were moving on with other candidates instead of just being left hanging like that.
