Overall, it was a very polite, professional, and accommodating experience. I liked that my questions were answered quickly and honestly without any pressure to lean a certain way or push any specific agenda. The rates and benefits were pretty straightforward, and I don't have any major issues with the company or how they handle hiring.

The interview process felt a bit disorganized, although everyone I spoke with was very nice. The interview itself was easy. It seemed like there was internal politics from the start, as the first person I met mentioned that the job I was interviewing for was hers and she wasn't fully committed to leaving it yet.

I applied online and they sent me an email to schedule a phone interview. I scheduled it, but then the recruiter emailed and called saying she wasn't available at that time and wanted me to give her alternative dates and times. I sent those via email, and she contacted me again saying those wouldn't work either. This back-and-forth happened several times, with her calling me when I was at work and unable to answer. It felt unnecessary and inconsiderate. Eventually, she ghosted me instead of rescheduling. I followed up to see if she wanted to try again, but she never responded. It was very unprofessional and made me realize this isn't a company I'd want to work for.

Behavioral Case Presentation

The whole thing took about 2 weeks. It started with a phone interview with HR. Then I went to the company for a coffee chat with the hiring manager, followed by a case study. The onsite part was also pretty relaxed, and everyone seemed nice. But honestly, I felt like they didn't really see me as a candidate. HR said my skills were great, but they found someone else who could solve their problems, even though I didn't even get a chance to discuss their problems during the interview! They just asked about my resume, so how could they conclude I couldn't do it? I guess they probably hired someone with more work experience, which is fine, but then why have so many interview rounds? Felt like a waste of time.
