Behavioral Presentation

The interview was pretty straightforward and simple. Since it was a promotion, there were obvious questions about ways in which I would do things differently as a manager in the ways of brand coaching and team development, visual/merchandising, operational accuracy, and other questions of that nature. The interview was no more than 20 minutes and I'd say a very comfortable experience.

I went through three interviews over a few weeks. I spoke with another assistant manager, the store manager, and the district manager. It all went pretty well, they were nice and open. I wasn't sure if my answers were good enough, but they offered me the job! Even though I had experience, they were interviewing a lot of other people at the same time.

Behavioral Other

The interview process was poorly executed. Three women conducted the interview, and one was applying lipstick while another was eating. It seemed they had already chosen unsuitable candidates, which was very unprofessional. Later, when the woman called to inform me, she couldn't even pronounce the store's name, was laughing, and hung up before finishing the conversation. It was a joke.
