First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sunrise Senior Living.
Executive Chef
I interviewed with the corporate chef and regional chef at Sunrise Senior Living in Seal Beach. I thought the interview went well, and the corporate chef told me to come back for the next step, which involved meeting another manager and doing a food tasting. Unfortunately, they never got back to me or called, which was disappointing as I expected a bit more courtesy and professionalism, even just an email about their decision.
- Can you discuss your previous experience working as a chef?
Clinical Informatics Specialist
The recruiter, Lil, was amazing throughout the entire interview process. She was very communicative, friendly, and proactive in providing all the necessary information for each interview stage. Lil regularly followed up to inform me about the next steps and to see how I was doing. Sunrise should be proud of their excellent onboarding team!
- Can you explain how your experience matches what we're looking for in this position?
Residential Care Coordinator
So first I met with the Executive Director, they were super nice and professional. They really seemed interested in getting to know me and my background. Then I had a virtual interview with two senior associates, where they asked a bunch of questions to see if I'd be a good fit and how my skills matched up. It all ended with a job offer, which I accepted, and now I'm starting the onboarding.
- Could you introduce yourself and share some background information?
Dishwasher
I was contacted by phone call, without any email or written invitation. It was a group interview that lasted about 30 to 45 minutes, with 4 other people. They asked tricky questions but were polite. One of the interviewers, an Indian lady, was very nice. I think I did my best, but they never got back to me. I tried calling them, but they never answered, which was the part I didn't like.
- Why should we hire you?
