GTM Enablement Specialist
I had a great experience interviewing at Staffbase. Everyone I interviewed with was very engaged and asked thoughtful questions. The two recruiters I worked with were also very organized and responsive, which was wonderful. The process included a call with a recruiter, a call with the hiring manager, in-person meetings with two collaborators, and a final presentation to a panel. I am rating the interview as average because I felt confident going into it based on my experience in similar roles. The final presentation took some time to prepare for, so this was the most challenging part and where there was the most pressure since this was the last step. However, it was not unreasonable at all and also provided a great way for me to learn more about Staffbase and the role.
- Regarding the final presentation, the team asked questions about managing your time and prioritizing enablement activities.
Renewals Manager
The Staffbase interview process was super smooth. Right after applying, a recruiter named Dave called me for an initial phone screen within a few days. Everything was super organized and efficient, with clear communication about each step. The first interview with the hiring manager was great; they really wanted to know how my background fit the role. It felt conversational and welcoming, not too stiff but still professional. Meeting different team members during the onsite was a highlight, giving me a real sense of the company culture and team dynamics. Everyone was friendly, insightful, and honest about working at Staffbase, emphasizing teamwork. A really nice touch was when Dave, the hiring manager, gave me his personal number. It felt like Staffbase genuinely cares about connecting with candidates. Dave checked in after every interview to see how it went, offer advice, and ensure I had no unanswered questions. This personal attention made the whole experience feel more human.

Implementation Consulting Team Lead
I sent in my resume and got a quick reply from Dave, the recruiter. We had our first meeting a few days later because of his schedule, and it went well enough that he set up the next round right then and there. He mentioned I'd hear back after Labor Day since it was late in the week. The next interview was with the hiring manager from NYC, and they got stuck on my previous job titles, which were actually higher than this Team Lead role. Well, it's been three weeks since Labor Day, and I still haven't heard back from Dave. If this is their communication style with candidates, I can only guess how they communicate with their own team and employees.

Product Manager
It started with a 30 min HR screening call to check my basic skills and if I was a good fit. Then, I had an interview with the hiring manager where they asked behaviour-based questions to assess my product skills and cultural fit. After that, I received a case study preparation document, which detailed a product challenge and asked me to elaborate on the roadmap and main features. The final step was a full day of interviews, which was pretty intense. It included a 1-hour case refinement session with the team (engineers and designer) to get to know them, ask questions about the case for better context, and get extra info for my case study presentation. I also had a 20 min interview with the product director with broader questions about my experience as a PM. Then, I met with other PMs to get to know my potential peers and dive deeper into how I work as a PM, covering both hard and soft skills, and cultural fit. Lastly, I had a 1-hour session to present my case study to the team and answer any questions.
- In your opinion, what is the primary function of a Product Manager within a cross functional team?
