First you'll have a chat with HR to get to know you and give you info. Then, a Zoom call with the CTO or Senior Engineer to talk more about yourself and maybe some basic situational and technical questions. Lastly, a sit-down with the engineering team for technical questions.

Behavioral

The interview process was straightforward and the communication was good, but the interviewer was arrogant and patronizing the whole time. Even though I was clearly qualified, he made condescending remarks. He even commented on my appearance (I wore a sweater) and suggested I should always wear a suit for interviews. I knew I wouldn't accept a job offer from them even before hearing back.

Behavioral Technical Case

The interview was a three step process. It started with an HR Phone Screen, then a First Round interview with the Hiring Manager and an Analytics Manager. The role needed skills in Power BI and Excel. The Final Round would have been an in person interview with the HM. Overall, the interview went smoothly.

  • Can you outline how you approach building analytical solutions?
  • What makes you believe you're a suitable candidate for this position?

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process was long (I spoke with 9 people across 7 interviews, plus a leadership assessment) but worth it. By the end, I had a clear understanding of the role as well as a decent perspective of the company. The process moved surprisingly quickly, spanning 5-6 weeks during the holiday season. The leadership assessment involved intelligence tests on inductive and deductive reasoning (business word problems and picture pattern problems) plus a role-playing scenario. Professional feedback from the role-playing scenario was available regardless of whether I was hired.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you share an example of a project you're proud of?
  • How would you manage a situation where leadership asks an engineer on your team to increase their output?
  • What experience do you have with change management?
