I applied for the job, and a recruiting company recommended me. The interviewer didn't seem to know about the recommendation or my resume. I tried asking about the company, but they struggled to answer since they were new. It felt like they were reading from a script and not listening. I didn't get a second interview. When I asked for feedback, they said others had more experience. I pushed, but they just said they had no more feedback and told me to get more sales experience and reapply in 6 months. It seemed unprofessional.

Behavioral Presentation

After an initial HR screening, I had interviews with a sales manager, the VP of Sales, and an executive team member. While a resume was required, no cover letter was needed. Since SPS sells a product I wasn't familiar with at the time, the interview involved a lot of question-asking from my side. They understand that candidates might not know about EDI, but they really want to see if you can ask good business-level questions. Showing curiosity is the most important thing in this process.

I initially interviewed at a Student Job Fair in a 2 on 1, very friendly setting. About a month later, I was called back for an in-person interview in Minneapolis. This involved interviews with Sales Managers, the Director of Sales, and the VP of Sales. I received a job offer three days after that.
