Assistant Store Manager
The interview process is pretty straightforward. Interviews are scheduled through the 7-Eleven career portal. Most of the questions can be found on Reddit. Hopefully, in the future, the stores will actually know they are doing interviews instead of looking surprised when you show up.
- What would you do if you suspected an employee stole a candy bar?
Sales Associate
It was a pretty standard process. We started by introducing ourselves, then we moved on to discussing her experiences and then mine. The conversation was polite and brief. The whole interview went smoothly, even though I didn't get the job in the end.
- Can you discuss your past work experiences and explain how they would be beneficial if you were hired?
- What did you like most about working for your last employer?
Crew Member
It was the shortest interview ever. The person who had an interview with me was described as that place's manager. She was only one person on that site, so she had to provide service to customers and ask me about myself at the same time. The music was too loud to hear her properly. As a result, she said that they weren't looking for new crew members and they would let me know if they needed a person somewhere else.
- Can you spell your name?
- Can you spell your phone number?
- Do you have relevant experience?
Crew Member
The interview was very casual, but there were some red flags. When I asked about hours and pay, they said they don't have full-time or part-time. They give hours based on behavior, rewarding good actions and penalizing bad ones. They'd start me with one or two shifts a week, and if I showed up and had no issues, they'd consider more hours or shifts.
- How would you deal with a problem with a coworker?
