First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Speedway.
District Manager
It was a pretty quick process with a few interviews. Everyone was really helpful from the initial phone interview to a couple of in-person interviews. After that, you go to the location where you'll be training. They also provide a lot of training and certification classes.
- What motivates your desire to become a district manager?
District Manager
I applied online, then talked to HR in the first week. Two weeks after that I met with the Regional VP, and then the Area Manager after that. They were really strict about wearing a suit and tie to every interview, saying they'd turn us away if we didn't. It's a bit of a pompous vibe for a Mid-west chain, but whatever, that's how it is.
- When you enter a Speedway, what are your initial thoughts or observations?
District Manager
The interview process was pretty thorough, with three separate interviews spread out over two weeks. It was more of a conversation, not heavy on behavioral stuff. The interviewer was pretty chill and made it a comfortable space.
- Can you tell me about people you've helped grow?
