Behavioral Technical

The interview process had 1 recruiter screen, a round with the Hiring Manager, and then 4 back-to-back 30-minute interviews. Everyone I met during the whole process was friendly and it felt like my experience was a good match for the role. The recruiter was great about giving updates when they said they would. I felt really good about my interviews overall and it seemed like my answers were received positively. The recruiter let me know after a few days of deliberation post-final round that I didn't get the role. I really enjoyed talking with everyone on the interview panel and hope to work for Snapchat someday.

Behavioral Technical

I had a negative experience with this interview process. For a Sr. Financial Analyst role, they initially scheduled 6 interviews. Then they came back and said 2 more were needed, at which point I decided to withdraw. Each interview was only 30 minutes, and they all ran over. Additionally, the interviewers asked very similar questions. The overall design and process were bad. I think they should consider setting interviews for 45 minutes and reducing the total number of interviews. If you can't make a decision after 4 interviews, your decision framework is totally ineffective. That said, the interviewers themselves were great, and I enjoyed most of the conversations.

Behavioral Coding Technical

The interview process was really smooth. I had a phone call with the recruiter who explained everything and what to expect in each interview. My recruiter was super helpful. The first round was a 15-minute behavioral interview focusing on a specific topic, followed by a 45-minute coding session with Leetcode-style questions. If I passed that, I was invited to a super day with three more interviews, all following the same format as Round 1. My experience with most of the interviewers was great; they were very nice. However, one interviewer was incredibly rude. He spent five minutes explaining a problem without pasting it and expected me to remember everything. The problem wasn't even a standard Leetcode question. He seemed intentionally difficult and even mocked my hackathon projects for using LLMs. I'm confident I passed all interviews, and he was the only issue. It felt like he didn't want anyone to get hired. Snap, you should really address this.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Medium-hard Leetcode-style problems were asked.
  • For behavioral questions, they focused on different situations and how you handled them, rather than your resume.
  • Each interview covered different behavioral questions.

Behavioral Coding Technical

The whole thing took less than 3 weeks. First, a quick 30 min call with the recruiter to chat about your resume. If they dig you, you'll then talk to a manager. Your first technical interview with the manager was an hour and you guys went over your experience, the manager's experience, and then you did a coding question - it was an easy-medium linked list coding challenge. If you make it to the final rounds, you'll interview with 4 people for a half day, 4.5 hours total. One hour with each person and a 30 min lunch break. This round of technical interviews is more tiring and the coding questions aren't too bad either. I really suggest you keep grinding leet code and hacker rank medium-hard problems because these people expect clean, almost perfect O(n) O(1) answers in 30 minutes. This was my first time doing this style of interview and for me (I got VERY anxious) it was brutal, though the questions shouldn't be that hard to solve, they basically expect you to respond like chatGPT and even comment your code. I think this is doable if you have time to practice at least 3-5 medium to hard exercises daily on leetcode for AT LEAST a month. I only did like 30 exercises in total and they don't care that you did a brute force approach first; if you don't have time to give the best answer, they'll probably not make you an offer.

Confirmed questions7 questions
  • They asked a lot of behavioral questions mixed in, which were fine, nothing weird there.
  • The coding questions were about string manipulation.
  • Bit manipulation was also asked.
