I applied through HR and the process had 4 rounds. First was an on-call screening with HR. Then Technical Round 1 with a Sr. Software Engineer, covering OOPs, SQL, Exception Handling, DSA, and project discussion. After that, an Online Assessment on HackerRank with 2 DSA coding problems. Technical Round 2 involved a deep dive into my projects, AWS S3 questions, and many technical follow-ups. Finally, an HR Round for general discussion and culture fit.

Behavioral Case Presentation

The interview process felt professional and well-organized. It began with an initial HR screening call that lasted about 30 minutes, which was informative and friendly. Next, I had a 1-hour interview with a Senior Manager. This was a really open and insightful discussion about my background and experience. We talked a lot about project management, and I enjoyed sharing ideas and perspectives. It felt like a mutual and respectful exchange, giving me a good sense of the company's leadership. The third step was a 1-hour case study presentation with three Senior Managers. The presentation itself went fine, although it ran a bit over the 20-minute time limit. I felt I covered what was needed and got positive feedback. After the case study, however, I didn't hear back from HR. I followed up by email asking for feedback or an update, but got no response. This lack of follow-up was disappointing after an otherwise positive process. It would have been good to get at least a quick rejection or some feedback. I hope SimCorp can improve on this. UPDATE: After waiting several weeks, I finally got a formal response saying I wasn't selected. The message was polite, acknowledged my qualifications, and suggested staying in touch for future roles. However, the long silence after my follow-up email made the impression a bit mixed. A more proactive communication or a simple acknowledgment earlier would have been appreciated.

Behavioral

I applied online and got a call from a UK-based Director for an interview over MS Teams. They didn't use their camera, which was a bit impersonal. They seemed interested and said I'd hear back in a week. After two weeks with no news, I followed up and was told they were going in a different direction and downgrading the role. They suggested I reapply when the revised role was posted. Three weeks later, I reapplied, but they then said I wasn't a fit. I wish the communication had been more upfront.

Behavioral

I applied for a role at SimCorp that seemed like a perfect match for my experience. The recruiter agreed I was a good fit after our initial chat and set up the next interviews with the hiring manager. But, the recruiter canceled the interviews the next day, saying the role requirements changed and it was postponed. They promised an update, but I heard nothing for over a week. I followed up via email, but still no reply. Then, I got a system email saying they chose someone else who was a better fit. The whole thing was super frustrating and showed a real lack of professionalism and communication from SimCorp.
