I talked to a VP and Director for a Data Scientist role. The VP laid out what the job entails and asked how I'd fit in with my experience. Then, the Director asked me more technical questions related to the current projects, covering my knowledge of machine learning algorithms and how I'd handle data analysis for specific projects.

Heard back after 2 weeks of applying, Got through the phone interview pretty quickly and got scheduled fast for a second virtual interview. There were 5 people on the call and I thought it went very well. Was told I would hear back within the next week or two. It has been almost a month and a half, and I have heard nothing. Not even a rejection email, just ghosted. No response to my follow up email.

The interview had a really friendly vibe, and the team made me feel at home. They focused their questions on what constitutes good customer service and sales. For the supervisor role, the interview lasted about 2 hours. It started with a few questions, and then the second part was a role-play. I had to give feedback to an 'employee' (the interviewer) based on how I saw them interact with a customer. The interviewer read from a script for this part and explained the process beforehand, so it felt pretty natural and wasn't too hard.

I was requested to complete a substantial task, including a full presentation and a sales analysis. However, my scheduled interview was cancelled a few days prior. I was then informed about internal movements and the need to wait for rescheduling. Since then, I haven't heard anything back, and it's been about 3 months since the process began. This feels very disrespectful, as job hunting is serious, and being ghosted after investing time in lengthy tasks is unprofessional and rude. An email acknowledging the situation, perhaps stating the role was filled internally and offering an apology, would have been appreciated.
