First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Signet Jewelers.
Sales Representative
This was one of the best onboarding experiences I've had! I applied and got a call for my first interview the very next day. It mostly involved standard questions and going over my resume. This was the first of three interviews total, all within three days. Shout out to Kay for this, as most companies take weeks to offer a job, if they do at all!

Sales Assistant
I had a telephone interview where they asked standard questions about me, a time I got great customer service, my thoughts on good customer service, and why I wanted to work at Ernest Jones. Then I had a face-to-face interview that had two parts. The first part was a bunch of 'describe a time when...' questions. There were quite a few, and they felt a bit repetitive because I struggled to think of unique examples. One question about helping someone achieve something caught me off guard. The rest were about delivering great customer service. The second part was a role-play where I had to sell some jewelry. I got ten minutes to prep and take notes, but they collected my notes afterward, so I had to be careful what I wrote.
- Can you share an instance where you faced a challenge in completing a task but ultimately succeeded?
Sales
First, there's an online test to screen people out and give a preview of the job. Then, for the interview stage, they ask the usual psychological questions for sales. They might interview you 2-3 times at different locations.
- Can you demonstrate how you'd handle a customer service situation that has gotten out of hand?
- How do you handle rejection and the word "No"?
- Try to sell me a pen.
