It was a straightforward phone call where they asked basic questions about your interest and knowledge in the facility's background, plus your previous experience. Then, there was a face-to-face interview with the manager, which was very relaxed and comfortable, with no pressure at all.

I got an email about this job and thought it would be a one-on-one interview, but it ended up being three people! They said it was because of the job itself and that the other two were already doing the same work. The interview felt good and took a while. They asked about my past jobs, and I asked about the company vibe. I left feeling positive. But then, the next day, a recruiter from a different place told me I didn't get the job. Even though I'm super qualified with the right degree, I was turned down. It makes me wonder about the real company culture. Was it personal, like my race, or did I just not fit the mold of what the company looks like? Maybe it's for the best and wasn't meant to be. The interviewers seemed nice, but you never really know what's going on behind the scenes.

Since I was referred, I first had a casual chat. Then, I had a 45-minute formal call with the hiring manager, followed by a touch base with their manager. Lastly, I had another longer get-to-know-you chat with the hiring manager. The process felt well-paced and allowed me to learn about the people I'd work with, the team's vibe, and what the role entails. I appreciated the courtesy and preparedness shown by everyone I spoke with.

I had a telephone interview where the HR person sounded excited. We talked about duties, responsibilities, and salary. They said they'd email details for an in-person meeting with the unit director for the next day within 15 minutes. After 45 minutes with no email, I called back. They said there was a conflict for the next day and asked if we could meet the following week, which I agreed to, and they said they'd email the details. I never heard back, even after calling and leaving messages. Later, I saw my application was declined. I felt ghosted by the recruiter, and I'm wondering if my age was a factor, which might be a legal issue.
