I had an interview with three agency leaders. The main interviewer asked most of the questions. They were all very polite and the atmosphere was relaxed. I will know by the end of the week if they select me for the position.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process had two stages. First, I met with my potential direct supervisor. This interview went really well, and I felt good about it. The second interview was with the executive director and another manager. Since I was interviewing for a director role to build a new program from scratch, this second interview felt intense. I felt scrutinized and questioned if I could actually do the job. After the second interview, I wasn't sure if I wanted to accept the job if it was offered.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Considering you're new to the individuals the program serves, how would you approach connecting with this population in the community?

They texted me to set up an interview. But before that, she told me the starting pay was $12 an hour ($24k a year before taxes)…. Glassdoor says the salary range for this role is $41k-$62k, with an average of $50k. Given how much they want you to do, that’s very low pay. It’s not a living wage. So, I decided not to do the interview.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Would you be alright with the initial pay of $12 per hour?
