My experience interviewing with Safelite was pretty disappointing. I finished the interview and was told I'd get an offer, with a recruiter supposed to call within 48 hours about training dates. But, that call never came. After waiting several days with no word, I had to reach out myself for an update. That's when I was finally told I didn't get the job. It felt unprofessional and disrespectful of my time and effort, making the whole hiring process seem disorganized and poorly communicated. Even a quick heads-up would have been better.

Working at Safelite is decent. The training is good, and the pay is steady, but the job can be physically demanding, especially in the heat. Management and customer interactions vary, with some good and some challenging experiences. The work can get repetitive, and the schedule isn’t always predictable, which impacts work-life balance. Overall, it’s a solid job, but there’s room for improvement.

It was a very drawn-out interview process that involved a presentation and a role-playing exercise evaluated by a panel. The role-play scenario wasn't relevant to the job I applied for, making it hard to showcase my persuasion abilities. After that, they kept me waiting for several weeks. I received one follow-up voicemail repeating their strong interest three times, and then two days later, I was informed they chose another candidate. I wish there had been more transparency, but the recruiter was very pleasant throughout.

My interview experience with this company was truly terrible and quite odd. The initial phone interview was missed because the interviewer was apparently in labor, which is understandable. I rescheduled for a few days later. Nobody called, so I sent an email to confirm and ask if someone would call. Someone called about five minutes later. However, this interviewer seemed to think I was someone else. When I mentioned the position I applied for, they claimed no knowledge of me and didn't even have my resume. I suggested rescheduling so they could prepare, but they insisted on proceeding and said I'd get another interview later. Instead of asking about me, my experiences, or education, the interviewer spent the time praising Safelite extensively and then questioned me about Safelite's products, industry, and history. When I mentioned hearing positive things about working there, they demanded the names of those people. After this grilling, they ended the interview and said someone would contact me the next week about scheduling the actual phone interview. No one did, and I later received a rejection notification via LinkedIn. This was likely the worst interview I've ever had, with a completely unprofessional and unprepared HR person. If I had been offered a second interview, I would have declined anyway. This isn't the type of company I'd ever consider working for.
