Technician Trainee
You get a call where they ask why you're good for the job, if you have mechanical aptitude or skill, how your past experience relates, and if you have a valid license. They'll explain the first 2 months is training and you need to pass to become a technician, moving from $15 to $19. Then a zoom video interview, same fast paced questions about why you're good for the job, and if you see yourself in 5 years.
- Are you able to lift 75 pounds?
- Do you possess a valid license?
- What are your career aspirations in the next 5 years?
Repair Technician
It was a super easy process. I just showed up with my resume, no appointment needed, and they interviewed me right away. They took my info for a background check too. I told them I was really looking for a repair tech job since that's what I saw they were hiring for, but I got the vibe they were really trying to fill replacement tech roles. I started training as a repair tech, but after about a week, they started nudging me towards training for the replacement tech position instead.
- What makes you want to work for Safelite?
