First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RubinBrown.
Consulting Intern
Networking is a big deal and can hugely help you in the process. I think they hire on personality a lot, so meet as many people as you can before your actual interview, people who are working in the department you want to join, and grab lunch or coffee or do a virtual coffee chat with them. Goes a long way. My actual interview only lasted 20 minutes.
- Could you explain your interest in a consulting role at RubinBrown?
Administrative Specialist
I went through 4 interviews for this role. Three were via Teams, and one was in person. I spoke with people from different parts of the company. My recruiter was really great and kept me updated on everything throughout the process.
- How do you handle stressful situations?
Audit Associate
It was a 30-minute Zoom call with a manager and a partner. The questions were pretty straightforward, focusing on why I applied, my interest in audit, and how I interact with customers. They were quite approachable and easy to converse with.
- Describe a situation where you dealt with uncertainty.
Tax Staff I
The recruiting process included an aptitude test that lasted about 40 minutes, covering personality and logic. The interview process involved a recruiter introduction, followed by two back-to-back rounds with a manager and a peer. About two weeks after the interviews, I received the offer.
