Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RubinBrown.
Tax Senior
The first interview was with a recruiter and a partner, lasting about an hour. The second interview involved meeting with an HR person and a manager, also for about an hour. Finally, there was a 45-minute interview with two partners simultaneously.
- Can you walk me through your resume and your experiences?
- What were your experiences at the firm you previously worked for?
Tax Associate
I applied through my school and did an on-campus interview. I met with a senior audit manager who has been with the company for over 8 years. The interview went really well; it was laid-back and casual. The interview didn't seem very structured, and the person interviewing me seemed to come up with questions as he went. It took about 5 weeks to hear back.
- Describe a situation where you failed to support your team.
Tax Intern
Set up an interview with career services. Interviewed on-campus and then invited to their office for an interview. The office visit/interview included meeting with HR, an interview/Q&A/presentation with 2 tax associates, an interview with a partner, and an interview with a tax manager and tax partner. It concluded with a brief tour of the office. The entire office visit was a bit less than 3 hours. The interview with the tax partner was more conversational, and the interview with the tax manager and tax partner was more behavioral. The people were very friendly and straightforward. The office was nice too. Overall, RubinBrown seems like a great company.
- What is your interest in RubinBrown?
