Coding System Design Technical Behavioral

The interview process started with a virtual recruiter screen, followed by a technical screen that included coding and system design. Candidates had the option to come into the office for an onsite interview, which consisted of two coding rounds, a project deep dive, and a meeting with the hiring manager for behavioral questions. It was an enjoyable process and easy to schedule. The coding questions were interesting, and the interviewers were warm and friendly, which helped calm my nerves during the technical coding screen.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • A LeetCode medium problem was given for the technical coding screen.
  • The other coding questions felt practical, fun, and iterative.
  • Questions about the project deep dive.

Behavioral Technical

I had a screen call and then met with the hiring manager. I thought it went really well, and the HM even said I had an excellent experience and we'd definitely talk more. But then I got a rejection notice the next day. When I asked why, I was told that talking negatively about my previous experience (getting made redundant from a big tech company on short notice) can make you seem not solution-oriented. I pointed out that the HM's reaction on the call seemed positive, and they said sometimes hiring managers get a bit too excited.

Behavioral Technical Presentation Group

Had 2 rounds and a final round virtual onsite! First round was a screener with the hiring manager, had a take home presentation and then another call with the recruiter before the final round. Final round was 5 interviews. A culture fit, technical round using the product live, speaking with another TAM to discuss how you deal with churn, a VP to understand how you work alongside pre-sales and finally with your skip. There were a few last minute reschedules. All of the interviews were great except the skip who wasn't really paying attention and seemed uninterested in interviewing.

Technical Behavioral Presentation Coding Other

I had an initial chat with the hiring manager, then a take-home task where I got to build an app using Retool, which was pretty fun. After that, there were four interviews: first, a technical interview with a support engineer, then a behavioral chat with a support manager. Next was a teaching interview where I built an app with one engineer and then had to teach it to another. Finally, I had a last behavioral interview with the head of support. Everyone was really nice and helpful the whole way through, giving me pointers on what to focus on and how to get ready for each part, so there weren't any unexpected things. It was a genuinely great experience overall.
