Presentation

The interview process was pretty fast, but they didn't really explain what they wanted for the presentation part. This company's platform is massive and they expected us to know a lot about it during the interview, which felt a bit over the top.

I interviewed with the hiring manager, did a presentation and demo for them, then did another presentation and demo for a panel. Got great feedback from the hiring manager after the first two rounds. However, during the panel interview, everyone seemed super dead and didn't engage with my presentation at all. Afterwards, the head of sales engineering told me he was uncomfortable asking questions because I was too confident and it made him uncomfortable throwing me off my flow. They sent a generic rejection email and stopped responding when I asked for feedback.

The interviewer was responsive and thorough with info, which was great. It started with a quick 15 minute call, then a take-home test where I had to use Retool to build an app based on certain requirements. It was pretty basic if you know SQL or coding well, but a bit tricky otherwise. Finally, there was a mock discovery call, which makes sense for a sales role.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • During the mock discovery call, I was asked to sell the product to the interviewer.
