First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Qcells.
Data Analyst
The interview process involved four stages: an initial chat with a recruiter, followed by meetings with a manager and a coworker, and concluding with a final interview with the director. I also had to complete a case study where I analyzed a dataset and presented my findings and recommendations. The whole thing felt pretty organized, although there was some AI feedback afterwards.

Controls Engineer
The recruiter was incredibly unprofessional. She strung me along for days, made me jump through every hoop-meeting the hiring manager (which went well), completing a time-consuming take-home, and even interviewing with the director of DS (also went well). And then? Total silence. No response, no rejection, nothing. If you expect candidates with full-time jobs to carve out hours for your process, the absolute bare minimum is to send a rejection. Ghosting after all that is beyond unprofessional. I wouldn’t waste my time applying here again.
- Can you tell me about your previous work in building controls?
Process Engineer
The interview process included a 30-minute behavioral interview and a 30-minute technical interview. They asked a lot of 'what if' scenarios, like how to identify root causes, what your favorite KPIs are, and about useful Excel formulas. They also assessed if you had done some digging into the company in less obvious ways.
- Could you share three of your key strengths?
- What would be your approach if a critical production KPI suddenly declined?
- How would you go about determining the root cause of a problem in a process?
Software Engineer
I had to do a Hackerrank and a 1-hour technical interview before even talking to a recruiter. It seems like a waste of time since the recruiter could have told me about the role expectations first. In the last round, they said Pandas was required, which they didn't mention earlier even though I was upfront about my skills. Communication was terrible; after the final interview, I heard nothing for over a week. I followed up many times, but they only rejected me late on a Thursday. The job was posted again while I was still interviewing, which felt like they were just keeping me around while talking to other people. The whole thing felt messy, rude, and like they don't care about candidates' time.
- Can you tell me about your experience with specific frameworks and tools?
