Behavioral Presentation

This one takes commitment — the process is thorough and spans multiple stages. It opens with a recruiter call to set the foundation, then moves into two or three one-on-one conversations with the hiring manager and recruiting team. After that comes a technical presentation, and the final stretch is a full day of panel interviews. Demanding, but you can see why — the caliber of people involved is genuinely high. Everyone came prepared and engaged, and the AI-forward thinking of the organization was evident throughout the discussions.

Coding Technical System Design

The interview process started with Round 1, a Programming Pre-assessment using CodePen. It had 2 problems of moderate to high difficulty, focusing on dynamic programming and sliding window techniques. Then came Round 2, Technical Interview A, which involved problems on dynamic programming and sorting algorithms. Finally, Round 3 was Technical Interview B, a System Design round where I had to design a high-performance file storage system for millions of photo uploads. We discussed scalability, storage optimization, and retrieval efficiency. The interviewers were really engaged and asked good follow-up questions, showing the engineering team is sharp and works on tough technical stuff.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • In Java, how would you minimize the cost of painting houses with three colors such that no adjacent houses have the same color, given a 2D cost array?
  • How would you design a system to store and retrieve millions of photos with high performance needs, ensuring scalability?

Technical Other

I applied for this job back in October and went through a fully automated AI assessment with no human interaction. I got a rejection the very next day. Then, just last week in February, I received an email saying I'd advanced to the next stage for the same position I applied for in October. I had to do the exact same assessment again, and again, I was rejected the following day. This role has apparently been open for months, leading me to suspect it might be a scam. The assessment required my camera to be on the entire time, which felt extremely intrusive and dehumanizing. The company's emphasis on being 'AI first' also strikes me as questionable.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Were you willing to work outside of standard hours, framed in multiple ways?
  • Did you feel the culture fit questions were designed to trick you, potentially due to AI implementation?

Behavioral Technical

They started with a resume screening, then a recruiter call. After that, there were initial technical and behavioral interviews. For some roles, a take-home assignment was given. This was followed by virtual panel interviews and a final loop with team leads. Finally, there was an offer and negotiation. Each team does things a bit differently with their questions and formats, so you should prepare for the specific role and team you're interviewing for. The interviewers were friendly, and the whole process seemed pretty organized.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • How do you work well with others in a team setting?
  • What's your process for code reviews and providing feedback to colleagues?
