First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Puffy.
Software Engineer
They started with a resume screening, then a recruiter call. After that, there were initial technical and behavioral interviews. For some roles, a take-home assignment was given. This was followed by virtual panel interviews and a final loop with team leads. Finally, there was an offer and negotiation. Each team does things a bit differently with their questions and formats, so you should prepare for the specific role and team you're interviewing for. The interviewers were friendly, and the whole process seemed pretty organized.
- How do you work well with others in a team setting?
- What's your process for code reviews and providing feedback to colleagues?
Software Engineer
The interview process involved graph questions, specifically DFS/BFS. The first interview was about connected components. The second interview covered another graph problem. The third interview had questions that needed sets and maps to solve efficiently. The interviewers were helpful when I got stuck and seemed genuinely interested in my thought process.
- Could you start by telling me a bit about yourself and your background?
- How would you approach finding all connected components in an undirected graph?
Senior Software Engineer
It was a really good interview experience for the Senior Software Engineer role. The process felt well-organized and fair, focusing on problem-solving, system design, and leadership. Interviewers were encouraging and seemed interested in my thought process. They cared more about clear communication and solid reasoning than perfection, which made for a positive vibe. It was motivating to think about working with such talented engineers who are pushing innovation boundaries.
- Can you tell me about your background and the projects you've worked on recently?
- Describe how you would design a system for processing real-time data at a large scale.
