First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PSA International.
Engineer
The interview process was pretty efficient and the interviewers were friendly. We had two rounds in total. The first round was with an HR and a manager, and the second round was with a VP and the same HR. It was for an entry-level engineering role, and the questions were entry-level friendly, focusing on basic engineering knowledge relevant to the job.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in PSA?
- Do you have basic engineering knowledge relevant to this job?
Storingstechnieker
First, there were general tests at the office in Antwerp covering electricity, mechanics, and electronics. If selected, you'd proceed to Kaai 1742 MPET for a tour. During the tour, they asked some questions to gauge your knowledge. Afterward, you'd receive detailed documents explaining rules, pay, shifts, bonuses, insurance, and more.
- Were there any difficult questions, especially if you just graduated with a good foundation in electromechanics?
Operations Executive
So before the actual interview, we did this OE Port Tour thing where they showed us how the control center works and gave us a general idea of operations. It was pretty helpful, actually, seeing the real work environment beforehand. Then, the interview happened. The main focus was figuring out what kind of person I am to see if I'd fit into a planner role or a command center role.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What made you decide on an Operations Executive position over a role aligned with your academic background?
System Engineer
one of the interviewers did not show her face even though company requested for a face-to-face video interview. Thought it was rather rude. Interviewers asked a lot about personal interests and hobbies, not relevant to job role or job requirements. Seems really keen on my personal life, rather than on my interest in the job. i interviewed for a system engineer role, because i decided on a career pathway i want to embark on, but interviewer asked a lot about why i did not choose other occupations or job roles instead.
- I noticed that you have a Diploma in ***, why don't you consider to continue working in the lab, or to work as a frontend developer?
- You sure you won't go back to working as a lab personnel, or decide to become a frontend developer?
