First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PSA International.
Assistant Manager
The interview process was smooth. Questions weren't too difficult, though there might have been a few unusual ones or ones based on current events. The focus was on how I work with people.
- Tell me about your strengths and weaknesses.
- Describe a time you overcame a difficult situation.
Management Associate
The interview process started with a case study round where I had to answer questions based on a case study that included both numerical and qualitative analysis. This round concluded with a 5-minute essay on a question related to the case. After that, there were three more rounds of interviews. For the first round, I had to type a timed essay on global maritime trends before a panel interview with HR. This interview was quite challenging and my answers were closely examined. Many questions touched upon my National Service leadership experience. Unfortunately, I didn't get past this first round.
- Could you start by telling me about yourself?
- What motivated you to apply for the management associate program?
- What are your weaknesses when it comes to leadership?
Management Associate
There are three interviews in total, the first being a task-based interview, where you are given a one-page case on a business problem and asked to prepare a presentation on the answer of that case within 20 minutes in a group of 4. The next two rounds of interviews are HR, and senior management. I haven't been to the second round, so I'm not sure exactly what they are going to ask. But the HR round should be pretty generic competency-based questions.
- At the end you'd be asked to write a paragraph based on a topic that's given to you on the spot. There won't be time for you to use good grammar, so just type in point form and write anything that comes to mind.
