First, they'll look at your resume to see if you have the right skills and experience. Then, you'll chat with HR about your background, career goals, and if you're a good fit for the role and company. After that, there will be some technical interviews with experts who will test your knowledge on networking, troubleshooting, and product specifics, as well as your problem-solving skills. Finally, a manager will talk to you about fitting into the team, handling customers, and being ready for the job.

The interview started with a machine coding round where I had to code a Customer Issue Resolution System within 1.5 hours and submit the working solution. This was followed by a 30-minute MC assessment round. In this round, the interviewer had me walk through my code and asked questions about its time complexity, possible enhancements, and my choices of data structures. Even though I felt I answered everything well, the HR later informed me that the panel rejected me and didn't share any feedback.

So, PhonePe came to our campus for the Graduate Trainee hiring. They were looking for folks with skills in SQL, Python, Excel, and good analytical and problem-solving abilities. The process involved an Online Test, followed by a Group Discussion, and then two rounds of Personal Interviews. Over 600 people took the Online Test, which had aptitude questions like Data Interpretation, Profit & Loss, Probability, Puzzles, and Grammar. It was kinda easy to medium difficulty. About 60 of us got shortlisted for the GD, and I was one of them. My GD topic was 'Will OTT platforms dominate over traditional platforms?' The discussion went on for about 25 minutes with 8-12 panelists. It was a good learning experience to share my thoughts in a competitive setting. Sadly, I didn't clear the GD round, but it was a great learning opportunity. It showed me areas to work on and how to prep better for future placements.

I went through their whole interview process and was really let down by how it ended. I passed three super technical rounds, all tough and detailed. The interviewers in those rounds really got my skills and picked me for each stage, making me feel like my abilities were being judged right. After that, I had a managerial round, which wasn't technical at all. I'm still not sure if I was rejected in this last round or later. If this stage was the reason for rejection, it makes me wonder: were the three technical rounds not enough to confirm my skills? Since I would have worked closely with the technical team who already approved me, why should a non-technical manager's chat matter more than their assessments? To top it off, communication was slow. After all four rounds, I heard nothing for over a week. Only when I chased HR myself did I get a rejection email the same day. The lack of clear communication, the delay, and no useful feedback made the whole thing feel unprofessional and discouraging.
