Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PhonePe.
Manager
The interview process took about a month to finish. They changed the role on me twice and promised a salary but didn't follow through, so I had to decline the offer.
- What unique value do you offer?
- What makes you the best candidate for this position?
Management Trainee
It was a case-based interview with detailed analysis. There were basic HR questions and they wanted to know if I had good knowledge of current technologies. Competition knowledge was also required. There were two rounds of interview. Even after giving good suggestions in the case, the interviewer did not have much good points to add and was appreciating, but did not give a proper feedback for rejection.
- Can you propose a case study on how to improve the adoption of PhonePe among vendors?
- Tell me about yourself and your background (HR questions).
- How well-versed are you with current technological advancements?
Deputy Manager
The interview process was straightforward and involved relevant questions about my current organization and experience. They seemed to prioritize individual contributions and asked about the impact of those contributions on projects, as well as how those projects affected the organization's growth. There were also questions about team size, project duration, and challenges faced.
- What are your career aspirations for the next decade?
