Proposal Writer
So, it was the typical process of meeting the manager and the team. Then I had to take some HR personality test(s). The expectations for the writing sample were a bit much, in my opinion. I thought I did okay since I got through all the interview steps, but maybe my writing sample was too formal. It's tough to write about a product and company you haven't worked with yet. I'm hoping they weren't just using it to get free work samples. I guess I'll never know for sure. I usually write in straightforward, plain language without all the marketing jargon, so I just don't think it was the right fit. I noticed the position was posted again a couple of weeks later. I asked to be reconsidered, but they just ignored me, which I found unprofessional. They didn't seem very open. I'm an experienced writer, so I can definitely adapt my style, but it's unrealistic to expect someone to do the job before they're even hired.

Customer Success Analyst
First, there was a phone screening that was pretty straightforward, basically checking if you can communicate. Then came an aptitude test, which wasn't too bad, mostly logic games and some really basic pseudo-coding. After that, I had two hiring manager interviews. The first was behavioral, focusing on cultural fit with some technical experience questions. The second hiring manager interview was also mostly behavioral, and for me, it felt the most intense and professional, though your experience might differ. Finally, there was an interview with the department head, which was completely behavioral and felt more like a relaxed conversation.
- Tell me about your experience handling consulting clients who are unhappy with something your company did.
SRE Manager
The interview process started with a recruiter call, followed by a conversation with their director. After that, I completed an assessment. For about 1.5 weeks, the recruiter indicated they were waiting for the director's decision on further interviews. A date was set, but then cancelled due to an 'outage.' Two days later, I was informed they wouldn't proceed with an interview because the director/manager felt my resume didn't align with the role after rereading it. This seemed unprofessional, especially the initial cancellation reason and then rescinding the interview opportunity. I heard from a friend in the same field that this company also ghosted him previously, suggesting this might be their standard practice. In a way, it might have been a favor, as I may have dodged a bad situation.

Pre-Sales Consultant
The interview process started with an HR Screen, followed by a 30-minute Hiring Manager Interview. Next, there was an Online Technical Assessment and a Mock Demo Presentation. The final stage was a Panel Interview. Unfortunately, after the panel interview, everything went silent, which was really disappointing since the recruiter had been very responsive and communicative throughout the earlier stages. About a month after the panel interview, I got a generic rejection email, which seemed automated, unlike the personal messages I had received before. It's strange because my application still shows as 'Under Review' on the career portal. I understand there can be delays with feedback, but after investing so much time and feeling like I performed exceptionally well, this lack of closure and feedback is really disheartening.
