Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Origami Risk.
Software Engineer
The interview process involved an HR interview, a non-coding assessment focused on logic, and then two back-to-back 30-minute interviews with engineers. They ended up canceling one of my final interviews on the day of, and were not very communicative about rescheduling. When they did reschedule, that interviewer seemed really uninterested and cold. While everyone else was nice, that last interviewer and the company's poor communication really soured the whole experience for me.
- The tech assessment is more logic based, with no coding portion.
- Can you walk me through a project you worked on?
- Could you discuss your experience as listed on your resume?
Software Engineer
The interview process has multiple stages. First, there's an interview to discuss my experience. Next, an aptitude test with 40 questions follows. Then, a technical interview is conducted. After that, there's a technical test to complete at home. Finally, there's a last interview with the manager of the team. I'm currently in the third stage and hoping for the best!
- Can you tell me about your work experience in this field?
Software Engineer
The process kicked off with an HR phone chat covering basics like your interest in the position. Next, you tackle the Walden Aptitude test, a 75-minute, four-question IQ-style assessment for programmers. Success there leads to two consecutive 30-minute developer interviews. These interviews mix technical and behavioral questions, but they aren't overly challenging. Talking about a personal project you’ve done can be beneficial. If all goes well, expect an offer within one to two weeks.
