I started out interviewing for a role that was ultimately removed due to a re-evaluation of their open positions. However, the company presented me with two other opportunities they felt I'd be a great fit for. Their TA team is incredibly insightful and genuinely felt I connected with the brand, seeming excited to find a role where I could make an impact. I'm happy to report I was offered the position and accepted, and I'm even happier to be joining this brand and contributing to its continued growth!

The interview experience was pretty laid back and felt like a good chat. Everyone I spoke with at On was super enthusiastic about the brand and their work environment, which was great. However, they seemed to really favor people with prior experience in sportswear, sneakers, or athletic gear, even if you had solid retail leadership experience in other similar fields. Some questions from the area leads felt a little off-the-cuff rather than planned, making it a bit tricky to know how I was being evaluated. But honestly, it was clear they're serious about finding folks who fit their values and have good team vibes.

The interview process was pretty standard, following the steps outlined on their website: application review, recruiter chat, hiring manager interview, case study, and an experience day. However, they seemed to struggle with clearly defining the job specifics for some roles, as the job ad was changed and reposted multiple times, and I even applied more than once. It felt like they were still figuring out the ideal candidate profile as they went through the interview stages. For some interviews, they used Metaview, an AI tool for notes, which might seem strange at first but is just a system feature. The overall timeline was a bit drawn out over several weeks, which is typical for the industry, but they did a good job keeping me informed.

First, I had an interview with HR, it was super friendly. I got to introduce myself, talk about my experiences, and what I'm looking for. It all went well, and after about 30 minutes, we wrapped up. She mentioned there would be a second interview with my potential boss. The second interview was with the Senior Lead. They were really friendly too, and it was basically a discussion about the position and my experiences. They asked a few questions like where I see myself in the future and how I'd approach challenging other brands with marketing campaigns. Unfortunately, I got rejected the next day. They didn't give a specific reason, just a general 'other candidates have better experience.'
