Behavioral Technical

The interview process was quite long, with many questions to answer and stages to get through. There was a significant amount of time between each stage, and communication about how each round went was minimal. It felt like progressing through levels in a video game, with a new boss at each stage.

Coding Technical Behavioral

The entire process was focused on coding assessments. I was asked some scenario-based questions by senior managers and technical leads. This was followed by a second round of technical interviews, and the third round was a discussion with the manager.

Behavioral Other

The interviewer never called me. I had to call him after 20 minutes waiting. Those 20 minutes was the time I asked to leave work early and ended up wasting it. When the interviewer picked up the phone, he said sorry and that he was busy with other calls. He then said it was just going to be a 10-minute talk. He rushed through the questions. It sounded like he just wanted to get the job done and move on, no feeling of connection. He eventually denied me because I was an international student while the company’s description says that they do not discriminate against citizenship status. I also said I could work in the US for 3 years based on my major. He said the company had 3 year training. Overall, the process and the recruiter were very unprofessional and misinformative.

Technical Behavioral Presentation

Someone reached out to me on LinkedIn, then I was contacted by a recruiter. We had a phone screening, which was almost an informal initial interview, then I had a zoom interview with the head of recruiting. I was asked to complete a math exam and answer some questions beforehand. That went well, so I was asked to take part in NewDay SuperDay, an event with around forty other applicants, where I had a third and final interview. I got to hear from the CEO, Robert Posner, and a plethora of current employees, as well as speak with the other perspective hires, and learn about their experiences with the interview process, so it was a lot of fun! NewDay is looking for people who played sports in high school, had a job while attending college, or had hard-working parents to look up to. Bonus if you check off all three boxes. The CEO himself joked that if your parents are farmers or nurses, you're automatically hired! They are looking for people who they can train themselves and mold into the perfect salesperson for their company, so it does not matter if you have little to no previous sales experience. The average company age is 27; everyone is young and extremely personable.
