First there was an initial screening call, with super basic questions. Then an interview where they asked more in-depth questions related to my resume. They REALLY want to see sales and leadership skills for this role. Also want to see if you're team oriented, which is why they ask the infamous "did you play sports in high school" questions. Then a Superday: BE SOCIABLE at the Superday, your interview only is 10-15 minutes long, personally I think what they really want to see is how you work with other candidates for the Superday as well as the staff already on hand.

Someone reached out to me on LinkedIn, then I was contacted by a recruiter. We had a phone screening, which was almost an informal initial interview, then I had a zoom interview with the head of recruiting. I was asked to complete a math exam and answer some questions beforehand. That went well, so I was asked to take part in NewDay SuperDay, an event with around forty other applicants, where I had a third and final interview. I got to hear from the CEO, Robert Posner, and a plethora of current employees, as well as speak with the other perspective hires, and learn about their experiences with the interview process, so it was a lot of fun! NewDay is looking for people who played sports in high school, had a job while attending college, or had hard-working parents to look up to. Bonus if you check off all three boxes. The CEO himself joked that if your parents are farmers or nurses, you're automatically hired! They are looking for people who they can train themselves and mold into the perfect salesperson for their company, so it does not matter if you have little to no previous sales experience. The average company age is 27; everyone is young and extremely personable.

I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn and applied. We scheduled an interview, and she mentioned she'd email me for my college transcripts and background check info. I waited and even texted her, but received no email. Just 20 minutes before the interview, she called to say I hadn't sent the required info. I explained I'd tried to reach her multiple times because she never sent the email. She then asked me to email her my transcripts and proceed with the interview as scheduled. The interview happened over FaceTime, which felt unprofessional. She then stated we needed to reschedule because I was missing a tie. Apparently, I never received the email from her about documents, which included dress code information. We had to reschedule. She asked me to email her the background check info, which she also never sent, and then she would arrange a new interview. I eventually got the email she was late on and sent everything immediately. Again, no response. A few days later, she emailed me saying I was no longer under consideration because I wasn't professional and was late submitting materials, even though it was HER who was late with the materials! It was a mess. I saw the company reviews and wasn't surprised. Glad I dodged this one. They seem to prioritize GPA and minor details like a tie over hiring talented salespeople.
